Visiting Bangladesh constructed an imposing total on the first day of the two-day preparation match against Sri Lanka Cricket President’s XI at the De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa. Opener Tamim Iqbal Khan struck an excellent hundred for Bangladesh, making the bulk of runs for the tourists. Facing 182 deliveries, Tamim scored 136 runs with 9 shots of four and 7 shots of sixes before departing from the field (retired hurt).
Mominul Haque was the second highest scorer for the team. The little performer made 73 runs (103 balls; 4×7). Among others, Mahmudullah Riyad delivered well.
