Time to rest Kohli ahead of WC 2019: Michael Vaughan
Former England skipper Michael Vaughan reckons that Virat Kohli should be given much-needed rest ahead of the upcoming World Cup which starts from May 30 onwards. He said that Kohli needs some time off before the start of the mega event. Vaughan’s remarks of late comes after RCB’s dismal performances this season as they lost 6 games in a row.
Counting from last season, this is 7 losses in a row for Virat Kohli & Co, which is their worst ever start to this campaign. Delhi Capitals too found themselves in a similar situation like RCB as they too lost 6 games in a row to the start of the season in IPL 2013. One more loss for RCB in the next match means that they will become the first team to lose 7 games on the trot to the start of the IPL season.

However, to make it to the IPL playoffs, every team should win a minimum number of 8 matches out of 14 matches but now that they have played 6 and lost 6, they have 8 matches left on the cards. RCB has a lot of catching up to do to win all the eight matches in a healthy net run rate in order to qualify for the playoffs.
India will lock horns with South Africa in their first game which starts on June 5.
