Tushar Imran gets ‘A’ team call

Ahead of the upcoming series of Bangladesh ‘A’ team against Sri Lanka starting from June 26, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday, announced a 15-man squad. Veteran Bangladesh batsman Tushar Imran who has been performing well in the domestic arena for last couple of years gets call in the team. Apart from him, some of the regular players of Bangladesh national team who are currently out of form also picked for ‘A’ team, including Sabbir Rahman and Soumya Sarkar. Both the players were part of Bangladesh’s recently concluded T20I series against Afghanistan in India. They have been dropped from Bangladesh team for the upcoming West Indies tour.

Meanwhile, Mosaddek Hossain, Naeem Hasan and Abu Hider Rony who are among the players on standby for national team’s Test series against Windies, have been named in the ‘A’ team squad also.

It is to be mentioned, Sri Lanka ‘A’ team will arrive Bangladesh on June 23 to play three four-day matches as well as three ODIs against Bangladesh ‘A’.
