During the second T20I match, while India was batting, West Indies’ captain Kieron Pollard tried to prevent Shivam Dube from taking a second run. After this, it turned out to be one heck of a blast as Shivam Dube replied Pollard back in style with 3 consecutive sixes.

Indian captain Virat Kohli surprised the cricketing world by promoting Shivam Dube to No.3 after KL Rahul’s dismissal. After struggling to time the balls initially, scoring just 12 runs off 14 deliveries, Dube switched gears in the 8th over off the bowling of Jason Holder where he hit a four and six to gain confidence.

It was when Kieron Pollard came to bowl his 2nd over and during the 2nd ball of the 9th over he pitched in a half-tracker, Dube attempted to middle it towards mid-wicket but lacked enough timing. But there was enough time for the batsmen to take two runs. And as Dube was completing the first run, Pollard, after his delivery tried to block the Indian intentionally. However, Dube did finally get back for the second run.

As Pollard bowled a short-pitched delivery, Dube timed the ball to perfect as he smashed a mid-wicket boundary for a huge six. Pollard lost his concentration and bowled two wide but Shivam Dube had eyes on the ball as he hit another two sixes, making it a perfect hat-trick. Pollard must have learnt a lesson that he should never mess with Shivam Dube.
