Twitter erupts as KL Rahul smashes his 5th ODI century
Lokesh Rahul played extremely well in the second ODI against England at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Coming out to bat at No.4, Rahul began his innings at a sedate pace and then slowly switched gears to the next level.
He added a vital 121-run stand alongside his captain Virat Kohli for the third wicket and put the team in the comfort zone. KL Rahul who scored an unbeaten 62 off 43 balls in the first ODI went on to score his 5th ODI century in style.

He was benched for the series decider at the same venue. However, he made his active presence count in the first two ODIs against England. After scoring his 5th century, he performed a superb celebration for the haters.

KL Rahul was the pick of the batsmen as he scored 108 off 114 balls. His innings was laced with 7 fours and 2 sixes at a strike-rate of 94.74. Former cricketers, fans and cricket experts heaped praise on the Mangalore-born cricketer for his sensational century.
It is good to see Rahul regaining his lost form. The 28-year-old has been one of the most consistent and flexible cricketers for Team India in the 50-over format. Having played 37 ODIs for India, the right-handed batsman scored 1502 runs at an average of 50.07.
He smashed 5 centuries and 9 fifties to his name. Talking about the second ODI, Rahul was the top batsman in the game and apart from him, Rishabh Pant scored an impressive 77 off 40 balls including 3 fours and 7 sixes at a strike-rate of 192.50. Virat Kohli scored 66 off 79 balls including 3 fours and a six.
