Two arrested in incident of Aussie team bus stone throwing Visiting Australia team’s bus was under a stone attack after the second T20 international match against India in Guwahati. The bus carrying Aussie cricketers was a bit damaged when stones crushed window seals.

Australia won the second T20I by eight wickets to level the series one all. The match was held in a newly constructed stadium in Barsapara.

Although no member of the Australian team was injured, the incident raised question marks on the security arrangement of Assam Cricket Association.

Later Assam police arrested two persons accused of stone throwing in the Australia team bus.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbanada Sonowal said, “Really unfortunate incident after a great game aimed to tarnish Guwahati’s reputation as emerging sports hub. We strongly condemn it. Our deep apology. People of Assam never endorse such behavior. We will punish the guilty,”
