    Mayank departed for 13 in 28 balls but his partner Gill did not miss out on another test fifty. He scored 52 runs off 93 deliveries before getting bowled by Jamieson same bowler who dismissed the other opener. 
    Indian test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara also failed to deliver anything special. He was dismissed by Tim Southee for 88 balls, 26 runs. Captain Ajinkya Rahane got a great start but lost his rhythm after becoming third scalp of pacer Jamieson. His dismissal put the hosts on trouble as they turned four wickets down in the score of 145.
    But Iyer and Jadeja relaxed the dugout with a timely partnership. The debutant is eyeing century scoring an mature fifty. Shreyas Iyer is unbeaten scoring 75 runs in his first test innings. He smashed 9 boundaries including two over the park during his 136 balls knock. 
    Both have gathered 113 runs in the fifth wicket partnership.
    Jadeja is the other unbeaten batter with exact 50 runs from 100 balls. Both have gathered 113 runs in the fifth wicket partnership. And will carry the scoreboard from 258-4 scored at stumps of the opening day in Kanpur Test.
