There are two spots available for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 qualification tournament in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and the USA Cricket National Selection Panel has picked a 14-man squad to represent the United States of America on a three-week tour to Africa.
A pre-tournament trip to Windhoek, Namibia, and Jersey has also been confirmed by USA Cricket. The team will play two T20s against Namibia and Jersey before warm-up games against the Netherlands and their first Qualifier match on July 11th.

After recuperating from a fractured finger suffered in a warm-up game before to the Cricket World Cup League Two in Houston last month, Jaskaran Malhotra will also rejoin the team. Former Houston Cricket World Cup League Two star Rusty Theron, who claimed eight wickets at an average of 18.25 across five innings, is back in the T20 squad after being ruled out of the Ireland series with an injury earlier this month.
Chair of the Men’s National Selection Panel, Michael Voss, said, “The selection panel has gone with this T20 focused squad that will give USA the strongest possible chance of taking a historic first ever qualification for any senior World Cup. Vatsal Vaghela and Marty Kain both performed well in Florida during the drawn Ireland v USA series in our last T20 internationals in December and retain their places, while we are confident that Jaskaran Malhotra will have had sufficient time to recover from his unfortunate hand injury to give us his power hitting in the middle order.”
