Pakistan batsman Asif Ali, who lost his daughter last week sought prayers before leaving Pakistan to play the World Cup in England.

Life can be really hard to deal with sometimes and Pakistan batsman Asif Ali felt that pain more than ever after the batsman lost his daughter last week, who was suffering from cancer.

Just hours after playing the fifth ODI for Pakistan against England, Asif heard the tragic news of the death of his daughter, who was receiving cancer treatment in the USA.

The grieving Pakistan batsman on Saturday left to join the rest of the team in England following the funeral of his daughter. She was buried in the Punjab province city of Faisalabad on Thursday.

Before leaving for England, Asif sought prayers for his daughter via his Twitter and said that he will remember his daughter as a warrior.

I want to remember Dua Fatima as a warrior. She was my strength and inspiration. The fragrance of her memories is going to stay with me forever. I again request you all to pray for the soul of my princess. Thanks again for being there for me,” he tweeted.

Asif will be available for Pakistan’s second warm-up game against Bangladesh on May 26.
