Will David Warner play for Rangpur Riders in BPL-5?

On Friday, the franchise authority shared a video in their official social media page in which it has been seen that humiliated Australian former vice captain of Australia David Warner is going to join in their squad.

David Warner delivered his excitement to be a part of BPL team Sylhet Sixers.

In the footage, Warner is seen announcing his joining addressing Bangladesh, “Hello Bangladesh, It’s time for Warner here.”

“I’m very excited to let you know that I’m here in the Sixers. I can’t wait to be a part of the Sylhet Sixers family. See you soon! Leabe bari, boundary” he said.

Warner is going through an year of suspension period from international cricket for his involvement in ball tampering. Since then, he has been performing in franchise T20 leagues all around the globe.

The former Australian vice-captain appeared in 250 T20 internationals for Australia. With a strike rate of 142.40, he scored 7,888 runs in the shortest format of the game.

It is yet to be known in how many matches Warner will appear for Sylhet Sixers as the Big Bash League will also be running on that period of time.

Warner hammered six T20I hundreds along with 60 half centuries.

The fifth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League was scheduled to start from October 5 which has later been rescheduled to occur from January 5 on account of nation wide general election. The final of BPL -5 will be held on February 8.
