Watch: Bangladesh ace the Buzzwire Challenge ahead of their first match

The cricketers of Bangladesh tried out the “Buzz wire” challenge ahead of their first match against South Africa on Sunday, June 2 at The Oval in London.

It was a steady hand challenge and pretty useful for the cricketers as they often need a steady hand. The steady hand game makes use of the fact that electricity will only flow around a complete circuit. One need to navigate a wire loop along a bent wire course without touching them together and completing the circuit.

However, the challenge was something like this. The steady hands challenge includes passing a metal ring from one side of a wavy wire to another. In the event that the ring contacts the wire, a signal goes off and you’ve lost the test. Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehidy Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman accepted the challenge and it looked like they had a long way to go.

Mashrae started the challenge with much confident and then Shakib, Mushfiq, Mehidy and Mustafiz tried out gradually. But they all endured a similar fate as the none could complete a loop without contacting the wire and setting off the buzzer. With the comparison to others, Mashrafe and Mushfiq did well as they went through much way without hitting the wire. On the other hand, Mehidy and Mustafiz failed heavily and looked like they had to work more with their hand!

But it was evident that all enjoyed the challenge much and they were in serious joyous mood. Hopefully they can carry this mood in their most challenging test against South Africa and secure a win for the Tigers.
