Watch: Hasan Ali makes a complete mess of Dussen’s stumps
Hasan Ali is turning out to be one of the best pacers of the Pakistani national cricket team. The right-arm fast bowler has often taken wickets at the right time and especially when the team needed him the most.
He played an instrumental role during the second Test match against South Africa. The pacer picked up a fifer in the first innings and repeated the same magic even in the second innings. Overall, he ended up with 10 wickets in Rawalpindi.
However, his best delivery was witnessed in the first innings when he made a mess of Rassie van der Dussen’s stumps as the latter departed for a golden duck. The right-arm fast bowler delivered an unplayable delivery and Van Der Dussen had no solution in the first ball.
As it happened, Hasan Ali clean bowled the Proteas batsman. Pakistan Cricket social media handle posted the video on their Twitter account. The video is doing the rounds on the internet.

Pakistan won the game by 95 runs. Meanwhile, Pakistan successfully completed a 2-0 clean sweep over South Africa. In fact, this is their first Test series win against Proteas since 2003. Hasan Ali who took 10 wickets in the second Test was named the man of the match.
At the post-match presentation, the fast bowler said that it was an important series for him to showcase his mettle. He further added that he wanted to make a comeback to Test cricket in a grand fashion.
“It was a very important series for me because I was making a comeback and I am happy I made a dream comeback and my contributions were helpful for the team in winning the series.
Line and lengths are very important on slow pitches and I had fitness issues in the past but I have worked on it and I played 9 back-to-back First-Class games which gave me the required confidence to make a comeback,” Hasan Ali added.
Meanwhile, Babar Azam is enjoying his captaincy. Under his leadership, Pakistan comfortably came out on top in the first and second Test against South Africa. “I enjoyed the captaincy and got to learn a lot. When the team supports you and plays according to plan there isn’t much pressure on the captain. Hasan Ali made an outstanding comeback, he is playing after 2 years and his bowling was really outstanding.
Today morning Hasan Ali gave us those early wickets and got us back into the game. We keep trying senior-junior combinations in the slip cordon and we are working on our fielding aspect and really happy with our catching in the series. This gives us a lot of confidence and gives the group a lot of confidence. Markram and Bavuma played really well but we knew we could always manage that one breakthrough and make things happen with the new ball,” Babar Azam said.
