Watch: Kane Williamson plays splendid shots in training session

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is part of the famed fab four along with the likes of Indian captain Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Joe Root. Tagged as one of the coolest players in the sport, Kane Williamson led Sunrisers Hyderabad to IPL 2018 final in the absence of regular skipper David Warner.

Unfortunately, SRH surrendered at the hands of CSK in the final. Williamson’s ability with the willow is nothing short of extraordinary as he has scored runs across formats. The right-handed batsman played 12 games in the last season where he scored 317 runs to his name.

He maintained a sensational batting average of 45.28 and a strike rate of 133.75. He smashed as many as 3 fifties to his name. The 30-year-old is looking forward to delivering the goods in the next season.

Sunrisers will begin their IPL campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 11 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. SRH have won 1 title to their name while KKR have won two titles so far in their IPL journey.

Ahead of the new season, Williamson was spotted playing some spectacular shots in the training session. The video clip went viral on social media platforms. SRH posted the video including the caption which reads “Kool, Kalm, Komposed, Kane !! Welcome back.”

The SRH player was quite happy that his isolation period was already done and dusted. Now that he could join the rest of his teammates in the training session. “It’s been a nice 6-7 days. Great to get out, and looking forward to getting to training and having a bit of run around.

I know the team has been practising really well and preparing well, which is great to see. It’s nice that pretty much everybody is here now. Looking forward to that first match,” Kane added.

New Zealand captain also spoke about the importance of Rashid Khan, particularly with SRH expected to play their first 5 games of the season in Chennai. It is cognizance of the fact that MA Chidambaram Stadium is a paradise for spinners.

“Rashid Khan is a brilliant spinner, and he shows that year and year out for the side. I think we have got a nice balance in the side at the moment and with a number of key spin options. Five games in Chennai could be quite key,” Williamson added.
