Watch: Mayank Agarwal’s answer against Nortje’s bouncer
India’s young batting sensation Mayank Agarwal was hit in the helmet by a harsh bouncer from pacer Anrich Nortje during the first day of the ongoing second Test against South Africa in Pune.
28-year old Agarwal had to go through brief medical care after the blow in 11th over of the innings. But when he was back in the track, the Karnataka batsman answered with a sublime drive through the cover region to cross the boundary rope against Nortje bowling.
Sharma departed scoring 14 while Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara stood for 42-run partnership.
On a morning where the ball was doing a fair bit, it was still India’s session. And South Africa will be disappointed by what the scoreboard is saying.
