Sometimes even the best moments can turn worse in life and there is nothing one can do in life. Sri Lanka won the ODI series and out of excitement, Kusal Mendis was eagerly waiting to try something different. He was then seen riding one of the 2 bikes which were presented during the post-match presentation. While Mendis was riding the vehicle, one more player was on the pillion seat.

In the process, while zipping in the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Kusal Mendis lost total control and the bike suddenly slipped on the grass itself. However, fortunately, none of the players got injured in the fall.

Soon after the unfortunate accident, the security who was present at the ground rushed towards the bike and then assisted Kusal Mendis and another player got back on their feet.

Sri Lanka got the better of Bangladesh in all aspects of the game and they did a comprehensive whitewash series win over Bangladesh after winning the third ODI by a colossal margin of 122 runs.

Setting a pretty good target of 294 runs to win, Bangladesh were skittled out for 172 in 36 overs. Mendis scored 54 off 58 balls while coming at No.4. But it was former skipper Angelo Mathews who was given Man of the Match award. The right-handed batsman managed to score 87 off 90 balls.

Quite interestingly, Angelo Mathews was also named as the Player of the Series. Besides scoring half-century in the third ODI, Mathews also scored 48 and unbeaten 52 in the first and second ODIs. Mendis, on the contrary too had a good outing during the series as he scored 43 and 41* in the first two fixtures.

Last but not least, and for a fitting farewell, Sri Lankan cricket team dedicated the third ODI to fast-bowler Nuwan Kulasekara for his contribution to Sri Lankan cricket. The latter recently retired from international cricket.
