Watch: Shakib’s 4 wickets against Chittagong Vikings

All-rounder Robbie Frylinck has done it once again for Chittagong Vikings as he played yet another cameo to seal a victory against the table-toppers Dhaka Dynamites.

After winning the toss, Dhaka Dynamites’ skipper Shakib Al Hasan opted to bat first in match number 24 of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Chittagong got an early breakthrough courtesy of Frylinck, who removed Rony Talukder for a duck. Sunil Narine also departed for 18 after picking up some boundaries.

Dhaka looked in spot of bother with 54-4, then the skipper rescued his side with a steady knock of 34 from 34 balls.  In the end, cameos from Nurul Hasan (27) and Shuvagata Hom (29) took Dhaka to a fighting score of 139 runs.

In reply, Chittagong lost their opener Mohammad Shahzad for a duck. But that didn’t bother the man in form Cameron Delport, who took bowlers to the cleaners and scored 30 off just 12 balls.

But it was the captain Shakib once again, who done the trick for his side and got the breakthrough. After losing some quick wickets, Mushfiqur Rahim (22) and Mosaddek Hossain (33) played steadily and were taking the game deeper before Shakib turned the table once again.

After a reckless shot from Chittagong Vikings’ skipper and the run-out of Mosaddek, Shakib bowled a double-wicket maiden to turn the match.

Needing 16 runs in the last over, the match was looking in safe hands for the table-toppers, but Frylinck stunned the Dhaka crowd with a 6, 2, 6 and a 6 to finish off the match and seal the thriller.

Brief score:

DD 139/9 (20 ov) | Shakib 34, Shuvagoto 29 | Delport 3/25
CV 145/7 (19.5 ov) | Mosaddek 33, Frylinck 25* | Shakib 4/16
