Australian openers once again provided a solid start for the Aussies with an opening partnership of 123. But the Australian middle order failed to capitalize the good start and convert it into a big score over 300.

Meanwhile, Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis had a funny run out dismissal following a horrible mix up with Steve Smith. It happened during the 42nd over of Australian innings.

On the fifth delivery of the 42nd over, Smith drove one tossed up delivery beautifully towards deep cover and charged for the run. A second looked imminent but Smith turned his back on Stoinis, who came all the way charging to the other end. Smith was shocked to see Stoinis at the other end as Rashid collected the throw and handed to Jos Buttler safely.
