“We have a very good side”- Shakib talks about chances of Bangladesh in World Cup

Just few hours before their match against Delhi Capitals in Hyderabad, the Bangladeshi all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan talked about the chances of his national team Bangladesh in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019 as well as the betterment of his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise team Sunrisers Hyderabad.

“We have a very good side. I am a little stressed over our bowling with the new ball and at the death. In any case, I am hopeful of going far. We have the most experienced squad we ever played. There are players who have played three World Cups. It is an intense competition in view of the format. We have to perform consistently,” he said when asking about the chances of Bangladesh National Cricket Team in the WC.

Shakib also shared his opinion about his IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad. He insists that there needs some much effort from the batsman in the middle overs and the death over bowling should be more accurate to restrict runs.

“A year ago has been beneficial for us regarding death bowling. Truly, this year we are leaking more runs. Everybody is taking it serious and working on it. Hopefully we will decrease conceding runs in death overs from here on. In this IPL, the other teams are progressively calculative. They are keeping more wickets close by in the initial 10 overs and going hard and fast in the following 10 or last five to six overs,” the SRH all-rounder said.

“Nonetheless, we have some experienced bowlers. We have to contain the opposition. And furthermore I feel we have a decent middle order batting. We haven’t done much what’s necessary in that section. With the ability we have, we can fix the problem. We are likewise a standout amongst the best fielding sides in the competition. We haven’t done to our potential. There are the three departments where we can improve,” he added.

The star all-rounder, Shakib didn’t get much chances to play for his team in this year’s IPL. He played just one match which was against Kolkata Knight Riders in their first match. So asking about his chances in the team he said: “All the overseas players are performing nicely. It is a troublesome circumstance for the selection board.

I must be fit and prepared to do well at whatever point I get an opportunity to play. The World Cup is coming. So there is a great deal of motivations to keep myself inspired. At whatever point my turn comes, I have to snatch it with two hands. Indeed, even at taking a gander at the matches from outside, we can gain proficiency with a great deal of things in an alternate manner. I have been doing all to stay fit and motivated. I have been preparing more enthusiastically than I used to.”
