When my wife sets out for hospital in the morning, I’m afraid: Waqar Younis
People around the world are horrified by the outbreak of coronavirus. However, the fear is even greater for those whose families are employed in medical care. But if these doctors think about themselves in the day of danger, how will people survive! They are not afraid of life, they are working at risk.
However, as they are the closest ones, the fear of the mind can not be controlled. As it is, Pakistan legend Waqar Younis cannot control his emotions too. His wife, Faryal Waqar Younis is a physician in profession. He is serving patients in Australia at this critical moment. Since coronavirus is infectious, there are risks to doctors too.
Former Pakistan pacer and current bowling coach Waqar Younis has been a resident of Australia for a long time. His wife is a doctor in a hospital there. Waqar has praised the way physicians like Faryal are delivering themselves during such a disaster.
But the fear that seems to work, the former Pakistan captain admitted,
“When my wife Faryal sets out for the hospital in the morning, I’m afraid. But when she comes back, I find satisfaction. Because I can proudly say that my wife is a hero.”
Saluting his wife and all the medical staff, Waqar said, “Fight, girl. Respect for doctors and nurses all over the world. We owe you a great debt.”
Faryal, the mother of three children, also believes the disaster cannot be solved, it has to be tough. In her account on social media Twitter echoes that famous phrase of the famous philosopher Confucius, “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”
