When Virat Kohli wanted to meet Sarah Taylor
Her contribution to England cricket has never been in doubt. She will probably go down as the greatest women’s wicketkeeper to have graced the sport.
Just as when things were moving smoothly for her, she announced her decision to quit from cricket after an ongoing anxiety problem.
Sarah Taylor ended her cricketing career with 6533 runs. Despite being an established batsman, it was her wicketkeeping skills that made her such a recognisable personality in the sport.
In fact, she earned praise from legendary keeper Adam Gilchrist, who hailed her as the “the best wicketkeeper in the world at the moment – male or female.”

Indian Skipper Virat Kohli too was impressed with her skills and he even wanted to meet her 5 years ago.
Sarah Taylor’s former teammate Kate Cross has now disclosed that Virat Kohli had desired to meet the legendary gloves woman back in 2014. The secret came on the Twitter platform when she posted an old picture of them with Virat Kohli. The caption read: “5 years ago since @imVkohli wanted to meet you @Sarah_Taylor30!!.”
Sarah would then reply: “One of the more bizarre wake-up calls I’ve ever had. #5ambreakfast.”
