English pacer Mark Wood is considering playing in this year's edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The pacer, who is in great form, has become a big name in England's pace bowling attack in limited overs cricket. Earlier, Wood played for Chennai Super Kings in the 2018 IPL.

Interested cricketers will have to submit all the documents by the end of this week to participate in the IPL auction. Although the documents are ready, Wood is not yet 100% sure whether he will play in the IPL or not.
The 2022 T20 World Cup will be held in Australia later this year. The 32-year-old pacer thinks that by participating in the IPL, he will be able to improve his skills to some extent.
Wood's thoughts on the IPL are, "We have seen the improvement of other pacers (as a result of playing in the IPL)."
"Anrich Notrje did well there. Then when we played the T20 tournament (World Cup) he did well because he had that experience."
10 teams are going to participate in the upcoming IPL. The franchisees will take part in the auction with lots of money. As a result, Wood is more likely to get the team from the auction. But besides playing, give time to your family.
Wood said, "My focus is on the World Cup later this year,". I had a hard time saying goodbye to this World Cup semi-final. But now is the time to set an example by working hard. "
Not forgetting family, Wood said, "Spending time with family is also important. This bio-bubble time is so hard away from family."
"I missed my son so much on a tour of Australia, especially at this time of Christmas. I will make a decision based on the current situation of the family."
