Yuvraj to play for Toronto Nationals in Global T20 Canada

Former Indian left handed all-rounder and hero of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, Yuvraj Singh is all set to play for Toronto Nationals in the next edition of Global T20 Canada.

Yuvraj Singh recently announced his retirement from all forms of International Cricket and the games related to BCCI. The decision came in an unexpected time and that made everyone into shock.

But the former Indian all-rounder said in his farewell speech that he is willing to play in the T20 leagues conducted in other countries. As a succession, Yuvraj Singh has made an official request to BCCI to allow him to play in those leagues.

“I want to play T20 cricket. At this age I can manage to play some kind of fun cricket. I want to go and enjoy my life. It’s been too stressful just thinking about my international career, performing and big tournaments like the IPL,” Yuvraj had said.

The latest news on him is that Toronto Nationals roped in Yuvraj Singh for the next edition of Global T20 Canada. The news was confirmed in the official social media handles of Global T20 Canada.

The second edition of the T20 league will commence from July 25 and run until August 11. Toronto will play defending champion Vancouver Knight at home in the opening game.
