5000 tickets for public in BBPL 2019-20 opening ceremony: BCB President
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan announced on Tuesday that 5000 tickets of the opening ceremony of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League 2019-20 will be allotted for the public.
The rest of the ticket of a total of 8000 will go as complementary among dignitaries. The opening ceremony of BBPL is scheduled on December 8.
‘’It will be tough for us to have more than 8000 tickets [for the opening ceremony]. Due to the position of the stage and other regulations.
“We can have a limited part of the stand-in use and also only around a thousand inside the field. This is our assessment so far. The rest they [BPL GC] will discuss and decide,’’
Nazmul told reporters at BCB premises.
The forthcoming seventh edition of BPL is marked to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
‘’The program has been finalized. They [BPL GC] will sit tomorrow and possibly have an official press conference. The issue is we will have to give many free tickets, to the councilors, clubs etc.
“But the quantity will not be the same as it happens during a game. There is a very limited sitting arrangement but has a huge demand.
“Then there are organizations that we are affiliated, we need to give them tickets too. We have thought we can have around 5000 tickets on sale for the general public. Price for the tickets will be informed tomorrow,’’ he said.
The opening ceremony will be gleamed by the presence of Bollywood superstars superstars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
Around six hour long opening ceremony will witness singers performing from different parts of the world including Sonu Nigam, Arjit Singh and Kailash Kher.
Well-known local singers like James and Momtaz will also be among attractions.
The most valued ticket will cost around ten thousand BDT. There will also be tickets in five thousand and one thousand BDT respectively.
