Ashton Turner trending in ‘Ducks’ – sets undesirable new record
On Contrary to country mate like David Warner who has been in blistering form in the ongoing Indian Premier League, Australia’s Ashton Turner is in the horrid zone of his team.
On Monday, the Rajasthan Royals batsman bagged his third consecutive golden duck, setting an unwanted new record.
He thus became the first batsman to score zero in five consecutive T20 innings.
Turner’s two ducks in his first two games settled him in another list as he became just the second player after Jesse Ryder who also was dismissed for ducks in his first two games playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2009. He made his Indian Premier League debut in Rajasthan’s match against KXIP
However, Ashton Turner failed to turn his misery in T20s. In absence of Jos Buttler who flew to England to stay beside his expecting wife, he got another chance against Mumbai Indians and was also out for a duck.
Prior to the Indian Premier League, Turner was dismissed for a golden duck in the final game against Adelaide Strikers for Perth Scorchers.
And at the beginning of things, Turner was dismissed for a three-ball duck by Hardik Pandya in the first Twenty20 International against India in Vizag.
Rajasthan Royals made 191/6 in their 20 overs, with Ajinkya Rahane scoring 105 not out and Steve Smith 50.
