The match between Bangla Tigers and Delhi Bulls has ended in a dramatic ‘tie’ on Monday, November 18 in Abu Dhabi T10 league. Both team shared one point with each other.

Delhi Bulls needed 17 runs to win in the last over. Angelo Mathews and captain Eoin Morgan were batting at that time. Bangla Tigers captain Thisara Perera handed the ball over to David Wiese. In Wiese’s over, Delhi were able to take 16 runs. As a result, the match was finished in a tie. This has been the second ‘tie’ in the current T10 league. Earlier, the match between Team Abu Dhabi and Qalandars was a ‘tie’.

Bangla Tigers captain Thisara Perera decided to bat after winning the toss in the T10 League ‘A’ group match at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. They lost wickets of Andre Fletcher and Colin Ingram at the start of the batting. Fletcher scored 8 runs while Ingram scored 4 runs.

Then Rilee Rossouw and Tom Moores managed the situation. They added 31 runs in the third wicket. Rossouw was dismissed for 27 off 16 balls. Moores scored 22 off 13 balls. In the end, with the help of Robbie Frylinck (11) and David Wiese (20), the Bangla Tigers scored 108 runs for 7 wickets in the stipulated 10 overs.

Mohammad Nabi, Ravi Rampaul and Ali Khan all took two wickets each for Delhi Bulls.

Chasing the target, opener Kusal Perera gave Delhi a great start by scoring 43 runs off 18 balls. In addition, Sherfane Rutherford (18), Eoin Morgan (27 not out) and Angelo Mathews (17) all contributed for the team. Still, Delhi could not leave the field with a win and ended their innings on 108 runs for 4 wickets in their stipulated 10 overs.

Both sides lost their chances of capturing the first position of their group as the match was tied. Bangla Tigers are now in second place in the group with 3 points in 3 matches. Delhi Bulls are third in the group with same points but they are behind Bangla Tigers in net run rate.

Kusal Perera was adjusted man of the match for his blistering 43-run innings.
