Bangladesh qualify for the Emerging Asia Cup final after Afghanistan victory
Bangladesh U23 pulled off a comfortable victory against Afghanistan U23 to secure their spot in the final of the Emerging Asia Cup 2019 final.

Afghanistan were put into bat first and they were in all sorts of trouble right from the word go courtesy of Hassan Mahmud’s stunning bowling. The visitors were tottering with 37/4, with Hassan picking up three wickets. However, Rasool’s hundred took Afghanistan to a fighting total of 228 in the end.
Soumya chipped in with three wickets and conceded 57 runs including one maiden.
In reply, Naim Sheikh departed early despite getting a good start. Soumya and Nazmul Hossain Shanto repaired the early damage and built a solid partnership of 98 runs. Soumya departed after a well played knock of 61 while Shanto scored 68 runs.
After the departure of the two well-set batsmen, Afif Hossain and Yasir Ali Chowdhury took it from there and guided Bangladesh to their first-ever final in the Emerging Asia Cup. The hosts will be playing against Pakistan in the final of the tournament.
