Bangladesh vs Pakistan: Third T20I abandoned without action

The third and final Twenty20 international match between Bangladesh and Pakistan has been abandoned without a ball being bowled. The toss was also been cancelled.

With the result, the two teams are settled with a 2-0 series as the home team clinched consecutive victories in first two match of the series. To Pakistan, the result meant they have retained the top spot in the International Cricket Council T20I ranking.

Rain started to interrupt any field participating from the very beginning of today’s encounter. Although it ceased for a while but started pouring again incessantly thus forced the match officials to abandon the proceedings at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

It is certainly frustrating for the visiting team as they are looking forward to take some positive outcome from the final match after losing back to back encounters.

Bangladesh made Pakistan to fought hard in the opening match of the series which the the home team came to win with four balls to spare at last.

But Pakistan grabbed an easy win in the next match as skipper Babar Azam produced a fine knock of half century.

With the T20I series, the first leg of Bangladesh’s tour to Pakistan have come to an end. The team will return for the first Test which begins on February 7. Meanwhile the final leg that includes an one-off ODI and the second and last Test, starts in April.
