India refuse to travel: Pakistan set to lose Asia Cup 2020 hosting right

Pakistan Cricket Board has received a major blow in reinstate cricket back to the country as they are on brink of losing hosting rights of Asia Cup 2020 following India’s refusal to travel to their nearest neighboring land.

Asia Cup 2020 is scheduled to be held in September in Pakistan. The tournament will be played in T20 format.

It is reported that BCCI will ask to shift the venue from Pakistan and will possibly be suggested for taking place in either Bangladesh, Sri Lanka,  Australia or even in Dubai.

A notable Pakistani journalist exposed in social media that read, “There was a discussion regarding the Asia Cup venue on the sideline of the meeting. Pakistan is the host of the tournament but they may not host it as India will not tour Pakistan. There will be a discussion about the venue in Feb, Nazm Uddin President BCB told reporters.”

Pakistan are set to play three T20Is, two Tests and a one-off ODI against Bangladesh at home. The total fixture are now diverged in three sections and will start from January 24.

Asia Cup 2018 was played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Bangladesh in a shocking phenomenon lost the final to India by three wickets.
