The KL Rahul led Kings XI Punjab went to bat in the first innings with opening pair of Rahul-Mayank. In the previous match, it was captain KL Rahul who charged on the bowlers and scored the highest individual.

Hence, against Rajasthan Royals, Rahul’s opening partner took the responsibility to take the charge on Rajasthan Royals bowlers.

Mayank Agarwal scored 106 off just 50 balls, bringing down Joffra Archer, Tom Curran and Shreyas Gopal to a very miserable way.

Mayank reached three figures in just 45 balls in Sharjah. Mayank’s devastating inning had 10 fours and 6 sixes. Although Mayank couldn’t finish till the end, Punjab finished the innings with 223 runs in 20 overs.

Rajasthan got off to a good start Despite losing Butler’s wicket in the beginning. Rajasthan continued to score at an average of 12. Sanju Samson on the one hand and Smith on the other tried to bring the game.

Although Smith went after scoring 50, Samson continued his power hitting and managed 85. But it was whose come back 53 made the night stun and shut KXIP up to win by 4 wickets.

The tweet that predicted the right mindset from Rahul Tewatia:

Nobody would have thought that Rahul Tewatia could play such a match-winning knock for his franchise. He was sent up the order to tackle the legspinners of Kings XI Punjab.

But, he could not time the ball against the spinners. When the KXIP bowlers put the pressure and changed the game to towards KXIP, Rahul Tewatia started to destroy the bowlers.

His old tweet which was posted in 2017 shows his attitude of never ever give up. He tweeted with a caption of “Don’t worry about what others think. People are always negative, don’t let it bother you.”
