Overall, they managed to win just 1 game and lost 5 games this season and are at the bottom of this season’s points table. Meanwhile, the SRH team management made a harsh decision by sacking David Warner as their captain. Kane Williamson will be the captain of the SRH for the rest of the IPL 2020 season.

The SRH franchise confirmed the news on social channels. “The decision has not come lightly as the management respects the enormous impact David Warner has had for the franchise over a number of years,” the club said in a statement. “As we face the remainder of the season, we are sure David will continue to help us strive for success both on and off the field.

“The team management has also made the decision that they will be changing their overseas combination for tomorrow’s (Sunday) match against Rajasthan Royals.”

The recent decision comes after Sunrisers’ recent defeat to Chennai Super Kings and after the match, Warner said he took “full responsibility”.
