Khulna ride on Bijoy, Tushar’s bat for big total
Anamul Haque Bijoy blasted a brilliant hundred for Khulna in the third round match against Dhaka in the ongoing National Cricket League (NCL).
Besides that, experienced campaigner Tushar Imran also scored a half century in Khulna’s first innings.
At stumps of day one, Khulna build up a significant total of 290 for the loss of 6 wickets on account of batting resistance from Anamul Haque Bijoy and Tushar Imran as they lost early wickets in the beginning of the innings.
Khulna won the toss at dawn and decided to bat first at the sea city of Cox’s Bazar. Robiul Islam Robi and Mehedi Hasan lost their wickets within 16 runs of team total.
Afterwards Anamul Haque Bijoy and Tushar Imran stood for a 116 runs partnership. Tushar scored 55 runs playing 124 deliveries before losing his wicket.
Shortly after that Bijoy was also back to the pavilion retiring hurt hammering 112 runs in 205 balls. Among others, Mohammad Mithun added 45 runs.
Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Abdur Razzak were unbeaten scoring 30 and 4 runs respectively. Shumon Khan and Taibur Rahman claimed 2 wickets each for Dhaka.
