Abahani Limited and Mohammedan Sporting Club met in the seventh round match of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) last Friday (June 11). During the match, Shakib kicked the stumps following an lbw appeal being denied. The all-rounder was punished for losing his temper later as he’s banned for three-match and fined Tk 5 lakh.
Mohammedan have suffered the most due to Shakib's ban as he’s the most important player of the team as well as the leader It is not comfortable for any team to go on the field without a regular captain. Mohammedan is therefore desperate to get Shakib back quickly. For this, team’s director-in-charge of administration, Kazi Firoz Rashid MP, has appealed to the BCB president to ease Shakib's ban.
