Gayle, who is currently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League for the Chottogram Challengers further mentioned that Pakistan now promise presidential-level security to players.

“Pakistan is one of the safest places right now in the world. They say you will get presidential security so you are in good hands. I mean we are in good hands too in Bangladesh, right?”

Gayle told reporters in Dhaka.

Sri Lanka recently played a two-Test series in Pakistan marking the return of Test cricket to the country after 10 years.

But a significant number of Bangladesh cricketers and their families are reportedly confused touring Pakistan for longer version matches due to security issues.

Gayle expressed pleasures on returning to Bangladesh for playing; he said he has lot more to go.

“It has been fantastic over the years playing in Bangladesh and I really enjoyed it. I am just a little bit late this time around but as I said I am looking forward to back as well. So it’s not like I am finished with you guys and I have a lot more to go and have a lot more to offer,” the 40-year old said.
