Sunrisers Hyderabad release Shakib Al Hasan

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise has released the ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. He won’t be able to play in the next edition of the tournament due to the ban.

Time is not running well for Bangladesh’s ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. The downfall started after the International Cricket Council (IPL) imposed a one-year ban for failing to report the approach of a bookie.

He has been banned after breaching three conducts of ICC’s Anti-Corruption Code. He can play cricket again from October 29, 2020. As things stand, he will miss the upcoming T20I World Cup in Australia as well.

Since then, Shakib has been off the field and has also parted ways with the MCC. ICC also informed that Shakib can’t use any facility of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) during the ban. The all-rounder stepped down from the MCC World Cricket Committee following his suspension from all forms of cricket.

Meanwhile, Shakib has also been released by his IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. He won’t be able to participate in the next edition due to the ban. So his name won’t be present in the IPL auction either.

All the IPL franchises are announcing their list of players they retained, released and traded this week. Sunrisers Hyderabad announced their list on Friday.
