Career</h1>
In the first three games of the 2014-15 first-class season, when he opened batting for the Dhaka Division, he hit 227, 163 and 201 in three innings wins and shared with Abdul Mazid opening scores of 197, 314 and 301 

He made his Twenty20 International debut on July 7, 2015 against South Africa. 

In October 2018, he was called up to the squad of Dhaka Dynamites team following the draft for 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League. He was the leading run scorer for the Dhaka Division in the 2018/19 National Cricket League with 426 runs in four games. He was also the East Zone's leading run scorer in the tournament with 460 runs in six games. In November 2019, he was selected to play for the Sylhet Thunder in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League.

He was part of the Bangladesh squad for the 2008 U19 World Cup.

Talukder, Taskin proved to be too good for Irish as they lead Bangladesh to go 1-0 up in the series 

Bangladesh won the first T20I by 22 runs (DLS method) and went 1-0 up in the series. 

Ireland captain Paul Stirling won the toss and chose to bowl first in Chattogram. With the explosive show from the batters Bangladesh posted an enormous 207-5(19.2) Credit to Rony Talukder's 67 off 38 and Litton Das' 47 off 23 before rain came into play. 



Chasing, 104 runs in 8 overs Ireland huffed and puffed throughout the match. The target and overs were docked by dls method. Ireland had a fluent start. They made 18 runs in the first over with smacking 4 boundaries in Nasum's over. Mustafizur conceded 14 in the next over and Ireland forged 32 runs in 2 over powerplay game. 


But they lost the mojo since the powerplay. Hasan Mahmud sent Ross Adair packing. But it was Taskin's over which totally shifted the match from Ireland. Taskin struck thrice in his first over which includes Tucker, Stirling anr Dockrell and Ireland lost the plot to chase the total. Harry Tector hammered a bit, he smashed Hasan Mahmud for 16 in the very next over but the veteran Shakib proved to be to good for Irish and hence they lost the match by 22 runs (DLS method). 



After being put into bat, Bangladesh saw a high flying start. Thanks to Rony, Litton and their onslaught. The Bangladeshi openers made a mockery of Irish bowling assignment. Racking up a 91-run stand together inside 7.1 overs. Litton smashed a power-packed 47 off only 23 balls with three sixes and four boundaries before falling to Craig Young at mid-off. Nazmul Shanto was lured by Harry Tector and he came down the track to hit but missed the flight delivery and resulted stumps at no time. 

But Shamim Hossain joined Talukder in the carnage. Talukder reached hif fifty off 24 balls and then started to bludgeon the Irish bowlers. He made a stunning 67 off 38, having been hit 3 hefty blows and 7 boundaries before being bowled by Graham Hume. 


Shamim Hossain kept the truck going, he made a quick-fire cameo of 30 off 20 balls and Shakib too gave his hands to the run fest. Bangladesh made a mammoth 207-5 in 19.2 overs before drizzle came to halt the match.

The best performers of this BPL

The BPL got it's veil off with Comilla Victorians winning their fourth title in the tournament in a thrilling final last night against Mashrafe’s Sylhet Strikers. 

There's plenty to tinker for the selectors after the BPL as we've seen the youngsters and some fringe players performing very well to get a call in the national side. 

Here's take a look this season's best players. 

With the bat : 

1. Nazmul Shanto tops this ladder board, scoring 516 runs at an eye catching average of 39.69 and a pretty good strike rate of 116.74. Even in the final he scored 64 off only 45 deliveries with 9 boundaries and a monstrous blow. Despite all those taunts and hatred before the tournament, Shanto conveyed the message to the Bangladeshi fans that he's here to win and score. And for his superb batting display in the whole season he won the man of the tournament award. <img src="https://api.bdcrictime.com/images-17_02_2023.jpg">When Shanto's bat smiles, Sylhet wins. 

2. Rony Talukder from Rangpur Riders scored 425 runs which is highest and only behind of Shanto. He had an average of 35 and strike rate of 129. Been the reliable top order batter for Rangpur throughout the tournament. And delivered when his team needed him. 

3. Towhid Hridoy must be the find of this BPL. The opener from Sylhet Strikers has been in terrific form throughout the season like his batting partner Shanto. Scored 403 runs at an average of 36. But what's more interesting is his steike rate. He's had a spectacular strike rate of 140. A glimpse of his talent and class. And as the gift of his form he got his maiden call up for national side. 

In the bowling section, the local players were dominating there like the batting department. 

1. The 26 year old from Comilla Victorians, Tanvir Islam was the standout bowler of this season of BPL. The left arm tweaker scalped 17 in 12 matches at a bowling average of only 17.59. Not only wickets, he was very miser at conceding runs. He's had only 6.36 economy rate this year. <img src="https://api.bdcrictime.com/32710473913049819667505252998724165766270652n-17_02_2023.jpg">Had a fantastic season. His celebration says it all. 

2. The Laximpur express, Hasan Mahmud is the second highest wicket taker of this BPL. With playing all the 14 matches he got 17 victims in his book at an average of 24.82 and economy rate of near 8. He's the one for the future and could be leading the future pace bowling department of Bangladesh. 

3. Nasir Hossian, the captain of Dhaka Dominators, a forgotten hero of Bangladesh Cricket is the third highest wicket taker. Been playing 12 group matches he struck 16 wickets at a bowling average of 14 and economy rate of 6.81. Not only with the ball, Nasir was fantastic with his willow too. Scored 366 runs at a jaw dropping average of 45 with 120 strike rate. But his sole heroics as an all rounder wasn’t enough to make his team qualified for the next round.

The fight for the top spot has been growing interesting as Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and Prime Bank Cricket Club both won their respective matches in the first batch of fixtures of Dhaka Premier League (DPL) on Friday (June 11). Shinepukur Cricket Club also won in the clash of bottom half of the table teams against Old DOHS Sports Club.

Prime Bank Cricket Club vs Legends of Rupganj, SBNCS, Mirpur 

With a whipping 101-run win over Rupganj, Prime Bank maintained their winning run in the DPL. Batting first, captain Anamul Haque and opener Rony Talukder’s half-century gave Prime Bank a big total of 169 runs in this year’s low-scoring tournament. Rony scored 53 runs off 31 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes while Anamul remained unbeaten on 69 runs off 49 balls. The wicket-keeper batsman struck 3 fours and 6 sixes. Pacer Muktar Ali took 3 wickets for Rupganj.

After that, Nahidul Islam (3-15), Nayeem Hasan (2-13) and Rubel Hossain (2-17) ensured a thrashing victory as Rupganj showed miserable batting. They were never in a chase, only three batsmen of their team reached the double digit score. Jaker Ali topped the batting chart with 16 runs.

With the win, Prime Bank went top at the point table.

In a clash between two favourites, Sheikh Jamal has the last smile as they won by runs against Prime Doleshwar. Chasing 167, Sheikh Jamal lost 5 wickets inside 10 overs and it was tough for them to win the match from that opposition. But all-rounder Ziaur Rahman and Tanbir Hayder put on an 83-run match-winning partnership which gave Sheikh Jamal a thrilling 3-wicket win. Ziaur scored 53 runs off 33 balls with 1 four and 5 sixes after taking 2 wickets with the ball. Tanbir was unbeaten on 45 runs off 34 balls. Kamrul Islam took 4 wickets and Enamul Haque jnr picked up 2 wickets for Prime Doleshwar.

Earlier, in form opener Imran Uzzaman again headlined as the opener scored 65 runs off 46 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes batting first. Another inform batsman, Shamim Hossain played a destructive cameo not out innings of 49 runs off just 19 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixes at the end which gave Doleshwar a good fighting total of 151 runs in 20 overs. Elias Sunny picked up 2 wickets for Sheikh Jamal.

Under-19 World Cup winner Tanzid Hasan Tamim smashed an unbeaten 79-run innings off 59 balls which gave Shinepukur a comfortable win by 7 wickets against Old DOHS chasing only 120 runs. The left-handed batsman struck 7 fours and 3 sixes in his innings.

Earlier, Old DOHS continued their poor batting form as Mohammad Rakib single-handedly drove the innings to a moderate total of 119 runs with unbeaten an unbeaten 57 runs off 57 balls. Other than him, in form Mahmudul Hasan Joy scored 21 runs. Sumon Khan and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury took 2 wickets each for Shinepukur.

Mohammedan Sporting Club clinched victory against Gazi Group Cricketers by 7 runs in a thrilling clash at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.

Both Mohammedan top-order Shamsur Rahman and Rony Talukder who smashed centuries in the last game has sshowed consistency in this game too.

Litton Das' 85 helped Abahani Limited to beat Prime Bank Cricket Club by 60 runs in a rain affected match in the 2017 DPL's first Super League game.

Batting first at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan Ground-3 in Savar, Abahani posted a healthy total of 321 in the score board after 50 overs, thanks to Litton Dasa, Nazmul Hossain and Mithun Ali for their fifty plus innings.

In reply, Prime Bank Cricket Club were never in the game as kept loosing wickets in a reguler interval from the start of the innings. Fifty from Zakir Hasan helped Prime Bank to reach 273 before getting all out.
